I think we’ve mentioned having some smaller art pieces for gift giving. Here are two of the five smaller hybrid (digital art/metal sculpture) pieces available for November & December.

Art of Wine: Images & Recap
If you missed the “Art of Wine” on Saturday evening you missed a great time! It’s an annual event so mark your calendar for next July.
Here are a few images of from the event, as well as two more images of artistic bottles created by our ArtSplash Gallery artists!

The gallery was open and ready for visitors the entire evening, here it is before the crowds arrived:
You can see Maurice Turcotte’s beautifully patriotic painting by the door, waiting to greet the visitors!
On the sidewalk to the left of the gallery Nancy Keating had a display of mosaic creations and information about her mosaic classes, and Lynne Medsker had small mixed media art and mandalas on display along with her class information. 
There were many visitors during the evening! Some were shopping, some were just looking and several signed up for information about classes. Of course there were some that were just to cute not to take pictures of, even if they weren’t old enough to shop or take classes!! 
As the evening progressed the crowds on the streets & sidewalks grew thicker and the wine tent lines grew longer!
As the patrons walked up & down the streets they were entertained with live music and the shop windows were dotted with the beautifully decorated wine bottles & glasses.

Sneak Peek: Gallery Wall
We love featuring our artists & their art on the blog but occasionally we’d like you get a feeling for what the gallery looks like as a whole. We’ve got three rooms full of hanging space for 2D artwork, shelving & countertop space to display 3D and small pieces as well as bins with original, unframed, art for you to browse. All this in a casual atmosphere where you can feel comfortable viewing the art and visiting with the artists!
Here is one of the walls in the gallery, with the July artwork hung on it:

It’s always so much fun to see the gallery after the new art has been hung each month! With about a dozen different artists having art in the gallery the possibilities for fun walls like this one – mixing the work of 6 artists – are unlimited. Of course this tiny photo doesn’t nearly do it justice! To give you a idea of the size, “Windy Day” by Carolyn Martens (in the center) is 40″ tall by 30″ wide.
We might give you another “peek” at a different wall later this month. We’re hoping you won’t be able to wait for that though – come visit soon!
The Art of Wine!

Coming up this weekend, in addition to the monthly gallery walk, the annual “Art of Wine” event will be held in the Arts & Design District in downtown Carmel, Indiana. All the details about the event can be found HERE. Some galleries and shops are bringing The Art of Wine to the district by displaying giant, custom-designed wine bottles and glasses transformed by local artists – like these pieces made by ArtSplash artists Nancy Keating & Lynne Medsker. Look for images from our artists Robert Shade & Valentina Shvyrkova in an upcoming post!

Sneak Peek: Lynne Medsker
This mixed media wall sculpture was created by ArtSplash artist Lynne Medsker. Steel, wood panels, acrylic pieces, glass tiles, concrete & acrylic paint are all combined to create this unique piece.
